A head-on collision Tuesday afternoon near the entrance to Riverside Country Club killed one man and injured three others.

Killed was:Boyden Ostler, 70, Orem.

A Provo Police report says Ostler was traveling south on University Avenue at about 12:05 p.m. when he collided head-on with a northbound car driven by Jeanette Tingey, 68, Provo. The report says Tingey was turning into Riverside Country Club's parking lot when the collision occurred at about 2700 N. University Avenue.

Ostler was transported to Utah Valley Regional Medical Center where he died shortly after arrival. Helen Ostler, a passenger in the car, was also transported to the hospital and treated for facial lacerations. Neither passenger in the Ostler vehicle was wearing a seat belt, the report says.

Tingey, who was wearing a seat belt, was also treated at the hospital for head injuries. Police issued her a citation for failure to yield right of way on a left turn.
