Clara Jensen Peterson passed away in her sleep on Tuesday, December 19, 1995 at the age of 80.
She was born September 5, 1915 in Clarion, Utah, to Joseph and Lovina Jensen. She married Gyale Peterson, March 3, 1933 in Clarion, Utah.She is survived by her husband, Gyale; sons, Larry (Madeline) and Cloyd (Ann) Peterson, both of Salt Lake City; 11 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren; brother, Bert (Naomi) Jensen; sister, Carol (Keith) Mellor. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, John Jensen; sister and brother-in-law, Josie and Oras Hendrickson; daughter-in-law, Marlene Peterson; and a grandson, Gary R. Peterson.
Mom dedicated her life to her husband and children and their families. She created a warm, loving home where everyone was always warmly welcomed with every effort made to assure their comfort. She never asked for anything except what she could do for you.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 12, 1995 at 12 noon in the Gunnison LDS Stake Center. Friends may call from 10:30-11:30 a.m. prior to the services. Interment in the Gunnison City Cemetery under the direction of the Warren R. Jensen Funeral Home.
