Poor Tom Welch. He's crying because he is only going to make the "average" wage as determined by industry standards. The paltry $315,000 per year that he is going to make is only 10 times more than most Utahns make in a year (some of us much less).

Hey, Tom, if you can't live on 300 grand a year here in Utah, then I am sure that we could find someone who will do your job for about $200,000 less. After all, the 2002 Olympics are a little over six years away. By my math, that is over $1.8 million, not counting benefits and the severance package.Yep, I could live on that. No problem.
