An Ogden baby was killed late Sunday after being ejected from a vehicle during a collision at an intersection.

Also, police have released the name of a Layton man killed early Monday when he fell into the street and was run over by two vehicles.Killed were:

Dakota Kunz, 4 months, Ogden

Victor T. Segura 28, Layton.

Ogden Police Lt. Randy Watt said Kunz was ejected during an accident at 20th Street and Lincoln just after 11:30 p.m. Sunday. The baby's mother, Candace Kunz, entered the intersection and collided with a truck driven by Durk Heywood, 24, South Weber.

Watt said the Kunz vehicle subsequently spun and hit a telephone pole, ejecting the baby through the rear window from a child carrier seat in the back. The child struck the pole and was taken to McKay-Dee Hospital where he was pronounced dead minutes later, Watt said.

Watt said an investigation is continuing, and citations are pending. There were no signs of excessive speed from either vehicle.

Meanwhile, Layton police said Segura fell into the inside traffic lane of the 1000 North block of Main Street around 6:20 a.m. Monday and was subsequently run over by two vehicles.

Witnesses told police the victim may have suffered a seizure, which police said will be determined in an autopsy.

No citations were issued, police said, noting the victim was wearing dark clothing and that it was dark and raining at the time. Police said the incident is under investigation.
