Ila Fay Symes, 77, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away February 9, 1995 in Bountiful, Utah.

She was born January 29, 1918 in Provo, Utah, to Lola King and Arthur Olaf Larsen. Married Kenneth E. Symes on September 20, 1935 in Salt Lake City.Worked for Varian Inc. until her retirement in 1974. Fay was an accomplished artist. She enjoyed creating beautiful oil paints, china paints, and had won various awards for her artistry. Her favorite place to go was her cabin.

Survived by her husband, Kenneth E. Symes, Salt Lake City; daughter, Cherie King (Dennis); sons, Glade (Kathy), Herb (Gwen), Lynn (Sharon); 14 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; sister, Eve Mason, Woodland Hills, Calif.; bosom buddy, Melba Clayton, also age 77, Helper, Utah.

Funeral services will be held Monday, February 13, 1995, 12 noon, at Larkin Sunset Gardens Chapel, 10600 South 1700 East, Sandy, Utah, where friends may call Sunday 6-8 p.m. and Monday 10:45-11:45 a.m. prior to services.

Interment, Larkin Sunset Gardens.
