Robert Repetto, vice president and director of economics and population at the World Resources Institute (WRI), Washington, D.C., will be the guest of Westminster College's Distinguished Resident Program Feb. 16-17.

He will speak Thursday, Feb. 16, on "Trade and Environmental Protection" at Westminster, 1840 S. 1300 East, in Malouf Hall, Room 201 at 7:30 p.m. The lecture is free.Repetto is the author of numerous publications on economic development, population issue, and natural-resources management for sustainable development. He has been an associate professor of economics in the School of Public Health at Harvard University and a member of the economics faculty at Harvard's Center for Population Studies.

He is currently a member of the Science Advisory Board under the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the National Advisory Committee to the Center for Tropical Ecology and Conservation, Duke University and on the Advisory Board for the Worldwide Fund for Nature.
