Prince Charles took his young sons William and Harry fox-hunting Saturday, defying popular disapproval to initiate them into a traditional British upper-class pastime.

The royal trio were lashed by rain for several hours as they rode with the green-jacketed Beaufort Hunt across hills near Charles' country estate, Highgrove House, in west England.Charles, often accused of being out of touch with modern Britain, has insisted his sons should learn to hunt despite the anger of opponents who say the sport is bloodthirsty and cruel.
