Grant William Walker, son and only child of Verle W. and Thelma Foster Walker, born November 4, 1927 in Salt Lake City, died February 4, 1995 in a local hospital of complications from open-heart surgery.

He was schooled in the Salt Lake area. Joined the U.S. Navy in 1945 and was honorably discharged in 1947. Entered and graduated from Electronics School, then went to work as an electronic technician for the FAA. He retired in September 1993 after 35 years of service. Past Post Commander of VFW Post #4355.Married Margaret (Peggy) Jones on September 13, 1969 in Reno, Nevada.

Grant is survived by his loving wife, Peggy; her brothers and sisters, their spouses; many nieces, nephews; his mother-in-law, Gwen Jones; his golfing buddies, many other friends; his dog, Peaches; and our very special kid, Karen!

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, February 8, 1995 at 11 a.m. at the Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park. Friends may call at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 South Highland Drive, on Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. and on Wednesday one hour prior to service.
