BYU AD Clayne Jensen to retire in August
PROVO - Dr. Clayne R. Jensen, a key figure in Brigham Young University's athletic success for the past 22 years, has formally announced his retirement as director of mens athletics and associate advancement vice president, effective Aug. 31.
Jensen has served as associate vice president over men's and women's athletics since 1991. He was given the additional responsibility of director of mens athletics in August, 1993, after Glen Tuckett retired.

Football players to be honored in Provo
PROVO - Eleven Utah high school football scholar-athletes, NFL Most Valuable Player Steve Young and former 49er Rex Berry will be honored next Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the Provo Park Hotel at the inaugural banquet of the Utah Chapter of the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame.
Each high school in the 5A and 4A classifications nominated one football player from its team for the scholar-athlete award.
These young men represent the very best in Utah high school athletics, said Glen Tuckett, president of the newly formed Utah Chapter of the National Football Foundation.
The high school scholar-athlete recipients are Brooks Bahr, Bountiful High; Tyson Baker, Brighton High; C.J. Bateman, West Jordan High; Spencer Campbell, Timpview High; Richard Davis, Payson High; Colin Dean, Bingham High; Bandon Doman, Skyline High; Spencer Morris, Jordan High; Kyle Olsen, Davis High; Brad Strong, Springville High; and Ryan Toone, Bear River High.
