Max Rudolf, who conducted some of the world's greatest orchestras and was considered one of the top musicians and teachers of his time, has died at age 92.

Rudolf died Wednesday at his home in Philadelphia.He was conductor of the Cincinnati Symphony from 1958 until 1970.

Rudolf was a guest conductor at the Philadelphia Orchestra, the Boston Symphony, the New York Philharmonic and the Berlin Philharmonic.
