Victor Peter Johnson, 85, died March 1, 1995 in a Salt Lake nursing home.
Born March 17, 1909 in Mantua, Utah, to David Peter and Olivia Sabina (Johnson) Johnson. Moved to Salt Lake City in 1924. Married Helen Haycock in 1936. Later divorced. Resided in Salt Lake City until the 1970's when he moved to Oakley, Utah, where he built a cabin. He loved his cabin on the river and enjoyed hunting and fishing in his earlier years. He loved crossword puzzles and was an avid reader. Member LDS Church. Served in Merchant Marines during World War II. Vic will be missed by family members and many friends.Survived by two brothers and one sister, Joseph D. Johnson (Luella), Temple City, Calif.; Elmo D. Johnson (Lucille), Maywood, Calif.; Mrs. Martin (Kathleen) Wiens, Sandy; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents and two sisters, Ethel J. Verde and Carma J. Wright.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Oakley Town Building where friends may call one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the Oakley Cemetery under the direction of the Crandall Funeral Home.
