Phoebe Helen Parkin Clements, our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, passed away after a lingering illness in Dixie Medical Center in St. George, Utah on February 28, 1995.

She was born November 8, 1921 in Salt Lake City to John Henry and Mary Camelia Plant Parking. She married Steven Craig Clements on May 11, 1940 in Salt Lake City, Utah. They moved to Milford, Utah where they raised their family. Phoebe Helen loved fishing the beautiful lakes and streams with her husband and family. She was well known for being a great angler. She shared wonderful times with her husband as a member of the railroad Old Timers.Phoebe Helen loved her flower gardens and passed that same love on to her children. She loved to go to California where she visited her family and spent many hours near the ocean that she had always loved so much. After her husband's retirement they moved to Washington, Utah.

Phoebe Helen made many friends over her lifetime as her warm and gentle nature captured the love of all who knew her. She was a warm, nurturing, supportive wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and showered those feelings on them. She was always there for family and friends. She was blessed with the ability to warmly accept the love shown her.

Phoebe Helen will be especially missed by her husband as he was the love of her life after 55 years of marriage. She was a member of the LDS Church and a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers.

Phoebe Helen is survived by her husband; a daughter, Doris Clements Winn, San Pedro, Calif.; a son, Stephen Craig Clements, Idaho Falls, Idaho; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one brother, John Parkin, Salt Lake City; and a sister, Adelia Pippy, Florida. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Diana Clements Veniziano, November 22, 1990; sisters: Kathryn, Glades, Devora, Natella and four brothers, Earnest, Vandell, Gordon and Dennis Parkin.

The family expresses thanks and appreciation to the many people who rendered compassionate service and care for our mother.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 4th, 11 a.m. in Metcalf Mortuary Chapel, 300 West St. George Blvd., where friends may call Friday 7-8 p.m. and Saturday 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to services. A graveside service will be held at the Milford Cemetery, Saturday at 3 p.m. under the direction of Metcalf Mortuary.
