State Fair will begin taking music-contest entries June 1
Applications will be taken between Thursday, June 1, and Friday, July 14, from those wishing to enter the 1995 Utah State Fair music competition.
Audition dates for the competition, open to all Utah residents or out-of-state students attending school in Utah, are Sept. 7 and 8. Competition categories are piano, vocal solo, wind and string instruments, organ and harp.

A $20 nonrefundable application fee must accompany entries.
Stepfamily Association sets first meeting for Wednesday
The new Salt Lake City Chapter of the Stepfamily Association of America will hold its first meeting on Wednesday, March 8, at the Sprague Library, 2131 S. 1100 East, from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m.
Anyone interested in learning about the challenges of stepfamily life is welcome to attend this free meeting. The association will introduce its program and give information about joining. For more information call 485-9628.
Trade association meets Wednesday at Riverboat
MURRAY- The World Trade Association will be holding a meeting Wednesday, March 8, at The Riverboat, 4393 Riverboat Road, beginning at noon. Speaker Christy Reschke from the U.S. Postal Service will discuss, "How the U.S. Postal Service Can Assist With International Shipping." A networking session is scheduled from 11:30 a.m. to noon.
The cost is $10 for World Trade members and $12 for nonmembers.
The Association will also hold a luncheon Tuesday, March 21, at Sil's Restaurant, 1488 S. State, at noon. Speaker Dan Mabey, director, State of Utah International Business Development Office, will discuss "Doing Business in China."
