The settlement was made in a trademark and infringement and unfair business lawsuit filed in U.S. District Court in San Francisco.EFI used the word "trax" on the end of the some of its products, and Panamax said that it was causing confusion because its products were "Faxmax," "Copymax" and "Powermax." EFI agreed to stop using "trax" on its products and in advertising and promotions.
