Charles A. Lindbergh landed his Spirit of St. Louis in Salt Lake City on Sept. 3, 1927. Now, 67 years later, an aviation historian is searching for Utahns who witnessed that event.

Ev Cassagneres of Connecticut is writing a book about Lindbergh and has documented many of the 82 stops the aviator made during a goodwill tour of the United States.Lindbergh flew to Salt Lake City from Cheyenne on Sept. 3, 1927.
