Wayne Porath Mangel, 51, died March 1, 1995 at his home in Rockford.
Born October 1, 1943 in Salt Lake City to Eugene Carl and Vera Porath Mangel. Married Martha "Marty" Tilton on August 6, 1965 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Graduated from Weber High School in 1961 and then later from Weber State University. An active member of the LDS Church, he served as bishop, bishop's counselor, stake clerk, Sunday School teacher, Young Men's president and High Council member.Survivors: wife, "Marty", daughter, Jennifer Ann, son, Glenn Carl Mangel, all Rockford, Illinois; parents, Eugene and Vera Mangel, brothers, Michael, David Mangel and wife Suzanne, all Ogden, Utah; brother-in-law, Stuart Tilton, Dallas, Texas; brother and sister-in-law, Dr. Richard and Kay Floyd, College Station, Texas; also many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Monday, March 6, 1995, 12 noon in the Ogden 78th LDS Ward Chapel, 5640 So. 850 East, South Ogden, where friends may call Monday from 10:45-11:45 a.m. Interment, Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch.
