The First Presidency has called six more mission presidents. The mission presidents and their wives will begin their service about July 1, and their assignments will be announced later. The new mission presidents are:
Knud B. Andersen, 65, Fredericia Ward, Aarhus Denmark Stake; high priests group leader; former temple sealer, mission president's counselor, stake president, district president, stake director of family history center, ward mission leader, and branch president; engineer for steel company; received mechanical engineering degree from The Odense Technical Institute; born in Dalum, Denmark, to Aksel Johannes and Pouline Hansine Jessen Andersen; married Nunne Jytte Dybvang, five children. She is an institute teacher and Primary president; former temple worker, stake Relief Society president's counselor, Relief Society president and teacher, ward organist, Young Women and Sunday School teacher; attended Commune Institute of Fredericia; born in Frederiksberg, Denmark, to Aage Robert and Meta Christina Pedersen Dybvang.Pablo Valenzuela Fernandez, 63, Cristobal Colon Ward, Veracruz Mexico Reforma Stake; mission president's counselor and temple sealer; former stake president, district president, branch president, and branch clerk; Social Security statistician; received degree in industrial technology from Veracruz Institute of Technology; born in Veracruz, Mexico, to Severino Cueto and Genoveva Rosas Valenzuela de Fernandez; married Maria Ernestina Avendano Mendoza, three children. She is Relief Society spiritual living teacher; former temple ordinance worker, stake Relief Society secretary, Relief Society president and counselor, Relief Society secretary, and Primary president's counselor; received degree in elementary education from Josefa Ortiz de Dominguez and food sciences degree from Industrial School; born in Veracruz, Mexico, to Miguel Galindo and Cruz Aka Avendano de Mendoza.
Walter R. Petersen, 60, Burley 3rd Ward, Burley Idaho West Stake; patriarch; former stake president and counselor, high councilor, bishop, elders quorum president, branch presiding elder, and missionary in the Uruguay/Paraguay Mission; family physician and surgeon; received a bachelor's degree in pre-med from University of Idaho and medical degree from Washington University School of Medicine; born in Wendell, Idaho, to Raymond Orlinzo and Jane Maria Prescott Petersen; married Eileen Marie Albertson, seven children. She is a Sunday School teacher; former stake activities committee secretary, Primary president and counselor, Young Women president and counselor, Relief Society and Primary teacher, and newsletter editor; attended BYU and Stevens Henager School of Business; born in Twin Falls, Idaho, to Arnold George and Verna Beth Huffaker Albertson.
Roberto Mario Tavella, 48, Geneva Jura Ward, Geneva Switzerland Stake; stake Young Men president; former mission president's counselor, district president, bishop, and branch president; Church area construction manager; received degree in architecture and engineering design from Technical College and bachelor's degree from School of Business in Toulouse; born in Treviso, Italy, to Ruggero and Ida Lerime Tavella; married Jeanine Irene Antoinette Marconot, two children. Dennis R. Webb, 46, Holladay 4th Ward, Salt Lake Holladay South Stake; Scoutmaster; former stake Young Men president's counselor, bishop's counselor, executive secretary, Young Men president, Cubmaster, Primary teacher, and missionary in the New England States Mission; co-founder of Renaissance 2000; received bachelor's degree in political science and business from the University of Utah and master's of business administration degree from George Washington University; born in Salt Lake City to Roland Worth and Bessie Pulham Webb; married Martsie Davis, six children. William H.
