He watched his big brother make it big. Now Jim Hanks hopes it's his turn to make a splash.

Jim Hanks doubled for brother Tom Hanks in "Forrest Gump" when the endearing bumpkin made his jog across America."Tom had other doubles, but they couldn't do the run," he says of Gump's awkward stride. "That's a stupid Hanks thing."

Jim, 33, has starred in pulp films like the 1993 "Buford's Beach Bunnies." In April, he starts work on "Tuba City Blues."
