- CALL FOR ENTRIES

Artists age 50 and over are invited to submit paintings for the "Utah Images" art show. The exhibition, sponsored by Equitable Life & Casualty Insurance Company, will be held in conjunction with the "1995 Utah Arts Festival." Paintings selected for the show will be elligible for cash awards and will be exhibited during the arts festival. Artists may submit up to two paintings in any medium based on a Utah theme. Paintings must be no larger than 36 by 50 inches and be suitably framed for hanging. Watercolors over 16 by 20 inches should be mounted with Plexiglas. Artist information, and if desired, the price should be firmly attached to the back of each submission. The artist is responsible for any insurance of his work. The expense of shipping and handling is also the artist's responsibility. All entries must be received by 4 p.m. June 9, at Equitable's home office, #3 Triad Center, Suite 200, Salt Lake City. Works will be judged by Bernadette Brown, Curator of Art and Education Services at the Utah Museum of Fine Art.

The Kimball Art Center is receiving entries for the 26th Annual Park City Art Festival. Media categories include painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, glass, fiber, leather, jewelry, wood, ceramics, sculpture, metal, paper and other fine art media. Entry deadline is April 1. Application fee is $15. Jury is by five slides of artist's work with completed application form. Acceptance notification is May 1. The Durango Arts Center announces a call for entries for the "2nd Annual Main Avenue Juried Arts Festival," Saturday and Sunday, June 24 and 25. The Utah Quilt Guild and the Springville Museum of Art announce a call for entries for the "Twenty-Second Annual Quilt Show '95." Open to all quilters in the United States, the participants may enter two quilts not previously entered and no more than three years old. To be eligible, quilts must meet the definition: "Two pieces of fabric that have been quilted together with fiber batting." Quilts may be representational or non-objective in form.There is a non-refundable entry fee of $7.00 for each quilt entered. Hand delivered work should be brought to the Museum in fabric bags with name and address on outside. Works shipped to the Museum should be packed in a sturdy carton or box. Quilts will be accepted for judging between Wednesday, May 25 and Saturday, May 29. Quilts not properly prepared for hanging will be disqualified.
