Winifred H. Robinson, 76, passed away March 2, 1995 in Douglas Flat, California.
Born June 12, 1918 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Maud Morgan and William Waldamer Hampshire.After school at Granite High, Winnie married Frederick Roe Robinson on May 27, 1936 in Bountiful, Utah. The couple lived in Utah for two years following their marriage when they moved to California where they lived for 33 years. In 1972, they returned to Utah where they lived in Sandy for seven years before returning to California. Her memory will be treasured for the many afghans and sweaters she loved to knit. She was active in community affairs serving as chairperson of several of her Douglas Flat Homeowner's Association committees. She will always be loved and remembered for her devotion to her family.
She is survived by her loving husband, Fred, with whom she shared 59 years of married bliss, daughter, Carol (Byron) Stark of West Jordan, Utah; son, Fred (Claudia) of San Carlos, Calif.; three grandchildren, Richard, Kimberly, Kelly and great-grandson, Michael, all of Salt Lake City, sisters: Helen Jensen, Donna Erickson, Billie Abboto and Mary Jane Behrens, all residents of Utah. She was preceded in death by daughter, Winifred, her parents and a brother, Charles.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, March 7, 1995 at 11 a.m. in the Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary Chapel, 10600 South 1700 East, Sandy. Friends may call Monday 6-8 p.m. at the downtown Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple and Tuesday at the mortuary in Sandy one hour prior to the service. Interment Larkin Sunset Gardens.
