Maria Nanny Niemann, 83, passed away Friday, March 3, 1995 at Davis Hospital and Medical Center.
She was born July 19, 1911 in Bolowsiege, Germany, a daughter of Adolf and Bertha Genschow Kreutner. She married Henri Max Ludwig Niemann, January 26, 1933 in Hamburg, Germany. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple in 1952. Maria lived in Germany and immigrated to the U.S. with her family in 1951. She was very active in the LDS Church all her life, where she held numerous positions of leadership.She is survived by her husband Henri of Kaysville; two sons, Henry A. (Judith) Niemann, South Jordan, Utah; Niels G. (Shelley) Niemann, Rigby, Idaho; one daughter, Renate N. (Bart) Killian, Meadow, Utah; 12 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; one brother, Alfred Kreutner, of Germany; and two sisters, Nanny Kreutner, Germany; and Ruth Reese, Santa Monica, California.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, March 7, 1995 at Kaysville 13th Ward, 875 East 200 North, with Bishop Harold Hansen officiating. Viewing will be 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the Ward on Tuesday. Funeral directors Lindquist's Kaysville Mortuary. Interment, Wasatch Lawn Cemetery.
