George Quincy Dickerson died March 2, 1995.

He was born August 2, 1917 in Goshen, Idaho; graduated from Grantsville High School, Grantsville, Utah in 1935; army captain, Artillary Division, WWII, D-Day Utah Beach, Battle of the Bulge, France, and Germany. He was a recipient of the Bronze Star and Purple Heart. He held many church positions including High Priest Group Leader, High Counsel, Sunday School President, and Genealogy Teacher. He was a businessman, retiring in 1986; author of several family history books and an avid genealogist; beloved and devoted father and family man.He was preceded in death by his wife, Maryclaire Dickerson, whom he married November 19, 1943 in Whitesville Beach, North Carolina. The marriage was later solemnized in the Oakland, California Temple in 1969. He was also preceded in death by one sister, Ruth Barrus, and one brother, Murwin Dickerson. Survived by his son, Thomas Blair Dickerson; daughter, Christine Ann Downer; and four grandsons. He is also survived by two sisters, Donna West and Grace Wagstaff; and three brothers, Ralph Dickerson, Donald Dickerson, and Edward (Ted) Dickerson.

Services will be held at the Larkin Mortuary, Salt Lake City, Utah, 11 a.m. on March 11, 1995. Interment to follow at the Salt Lake City Cemetery.
