The Utah Predators were swept by the San Diego Spikers in Saturday night's National Volleyball Association championship match.

The Predators, who defeated San Jose last week to advance to Saturday's title match, were defeated 15-9, 15-12 and 15-9.Utah had leads in both the second and third games but was unable to sustain them to end the season in second place.

Utah was led by Natalie Williams' 14 kills and Tammy Liley's 13 kills and 11 blocks.

The Spikers were led by Teee Williams with 15 kills and former Predator Danielle Scott with 12 kills and 11 blocks.

Following the match Teee Williams was crowned as the league MVP. Bev Oden of San Jose was named Offensive Player of the Year. Utah's Liley earned Defensive Player of the Year honors. San Jose's Lori Endicott won Setter of the Year honors and Liley and Natalie Williams were named to the all-league squad.
