Dolores Seal Clark died February 23, 1995 in a Spokane, Washington hospital.
Born July 19, 1903 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Alvin and Clara Beatrice Dawson Seal. A 3-year resident of Spokane and former lifetime resident of Salt Lake City, Utah.Survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Eileen and Cal DesVoigne, Spokane, Washington; one grandson, Shawn A. Summers, Spokane, Wash.; one nephew, Paul E. Seal, Palm Springs, California. Preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Percy G. Clark, and one brother, Alvin N. Seal.
Dolores has enjoyed two careers in her lifetime, the first being a professional singer. She sang on the radio in Utah on stations KSL and KDYL. She sang in concert, oratorios and light opera. She was an original member and soprano soloist with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir for 15 years. She also sang with the Smallman Choir in Los Angeles, California as well as the choir of the Bountiful Community Church in Utah. She had the privilege of singing with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir at the 1934 World's Fair in Chicago as well as joining with the Orpheus Men's Choir to sing at the 1939 World's Fair in New York. The second career Dolores enjoyed was working for the State of Utah for 20 years as the Assistant Director of the Financial Responsibility Division and retiring from that position. All through these years she was a vocal and piano teacher as well as being the organist for the 4th Ensign Ward. Dolores was also a past member of the Ladies Literary Club.
At her request, private services were held with cremation. Burial in Canadian Legion Plot, Salt Lake City Cemetery.
