Luciano Pavarotti's secret for maintaining his million-dollar voice: lemons.
The Italian tenor belted out opera to a sellout crowd in the land of reggae Sunday night in Kingston, Jamaica. But beforehand, he made sure he was prepared, ordering room service at his luxury hotel to supply him with 10 fresh lemons a day.He also demanded spring water and humidifiers, and banished strong-smelling flowers from his suite.
Pavarotti appeared in white tie and tails at the performance, singing 14 pieces and three encores. He dedicated a piece from Puccini's Tosca to "the beautiful Jamaican women."
