Nellie Houston Chidester, 86, of Grand Island, Nebraska and former resident of Richfield, Utah, died March 4, 1995, at the home of her daughter in Grand Island, Nebraska.

She was born July 26, 1908, in Panguitch, Utah to James General and Lydia Maria Talbot Houston. She married Alton Parker (Perk) Chidester on February 15, 1927, in Richfield, Utah. The marriage was solemnized on June 5, 1933, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died February 3, 1968.She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Donald (Carol) Fuller, Grand Island, Neb.; six grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; one brother, Harry Clark Houston, Salt Lake City, Utah.

Preceded in death by her parents, husband; son, Alton Kent Chidester; granddaughter, Sherri; great-granddaughter, Melissa; four sisters, Maud, Bernice, Velta and Thelma; three brothers, Edgar, Eugene and Jay.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 9, 1995, at 1 p.m. in the Neal S. Magleby & Sons Mortuary Chapel, 50 South 100 West, where friends may call after 11 a.m. on Thursday. Burial will be in the Richfield City Cemetery. Funeral directors, Neal S. Magleby & Sons Mortuary, Richfield, Utah.
