Max Allan Thompson passed away March 3, 1995, in a West Valley hospital due to a sudden illness.

Born January 28, 1912, in Blanding, Utah to Edward Fleming and Annie Allan Thompson. Grew up in Blanding, San Juan County, which he referred to as paradise. Moved with his family to Salt Lake when he was 13. Attended school at Lowell Elementary, Irving Jr. High, and West High.Worked with his father in building construction. Married Ruth Smith on April 28, 1934. Worked as a plasterer with Local 68 OP and CMIA and was elected business agent and served in that position for 13 years. Member LDS Church.

Max was an avid lover of sports, avid reader, and had a great sense of humor. He loved to talk with others and had a great respect for his fellowmen. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Survived by daughters and sons, Maureen T. Haskins, Patricia Hendersen, Marion Thompson, Max Allan Jr., Norman C.; 22 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. Sisters and brothers, Helen Smith, Porterville, Calif.; Geneva Coy, Salines, Calif.; Afton Richardson, Suisun, Calif.; Wallace Thompson, Salt Lake; Francis Thompson, San Diego, California.

Preceded in death by brothers, Clyde Thompson, West Thompson and Dean Thompson.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 8, 1995, 2 p.m. at Larkin Sunset Gardens Chapel, 10600 South 1700 East, Sandy, where friends may call from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. prior to services. Interment, Larkin Sunset Gardens.
