Eleven Utah families are serving as hosts to "Youth For Understanding" students attending Snow College from Mexico, Central and South America.

Snow Vice President Richard White welcomed the students and thanked their host families at a recent banquet, saying the program provides a valuable educational and cultural experience for everyone involved.Snow College was chosen last November as one of five community colleges in America to host foreign students in the "Youth For Understanding" program. The students' time in their host homes is considered an integral part of the educational experience.

The students and their host families are: Leonel Villarroel, Chile, with Mr. and Mrs. Steven Peterson, Ephraim; Marcelo Pinheiro, Brazil, with Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Ogden, Manti; Marcello Orellana, Ecuador, with Anamarie Abdul Jabar, Mt. Pleasant; Maria Lorena Reyes, Ecuador, with Mr. and Mrs. George Winn, Ephraim; Francisco Carballo, Venezuela, with Jean Sessions, Spring City; Ximena Tello, Colombia, with Mr. and Mrs. Gary Parnell, Spring City; Ramon Seguy, Chile, with Mr. and Mrs. John Keeler, Manti; Natalia Ruiz, Colombia, with Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Blauer, Ephraim; Moises Flores, Mexico, with Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Wendel, Ephraim; Johana Gamboa, Colombia, with Mr. and Mrs. Mark Nilsson, Ephraim; and Jose Caldeira, Brazil, with Mr. and Mrs. Ernie Williams, Ephraim.
