College of Eastern Utah basketball coach Rob Stubbs resigned Monday, saying he wants to take a breather after nine seasons.

"I've made my decision and I'm at peace with it," Stubbs said.Stubbs took over midway through the 1986-87 season, and his teams posted a 164-109 mark. The Eagles had four 20-win seasons in the past five years, including 24-7 this season, good enough for second behind College of Southern Idaho in the Scenic West Athletic Conference.

Stubbs said he would continue to teach at the two-year school while exploring other career options.
