Elsie Crofts Simpson, 93, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully March 4, 1995 in Bountiful, Utah after a short illness.
Elsie was born August 28, 1901 in Sheffield, England to William and Alice Lee Dawson Crofts. She married William James Simpson, June 19, 1920 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died March 2, 1978.Active member of the LDS Church and member of Poplar Grove Ward for 70 years prior to moving to Bountiful in 1990. Preceded in death by husband; a daughter, May (Andrew) Wanosik; and three infant children, William Edward, Ronald Dean and JoAnn.
Survived by two daughters, Phoebe Lillian (Dale) Newhart, Treichlers, Penn.; Jeanne (Lowell) Weed, Bountiful; 12 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, March 8, 1995 at 1 p.m. in the Salt Lake City Cemetery. Friends may call at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main, Wednesday from 11:30-12:30 p.m. prior to services.
