The seventh annual Alice Louise Reynolds Lecture at Brigham Young University will be given by a member of the church history and doctrine faculty on Wednesday, March 8.
Roger R. Keller will speak on "Loss of Self: The Only Way to Truth" at 2 p.m. in the Crabtree Auditorium (214 CTB).The public is welcome, and admission is free.
The lecture is named after the first woman to teach college-level courses at Brigham Young Academy. Reynolds was a member of the English faculty from 1897 to 1938 and did extensive work with the library.
"She was so influential and loved by her students that at one time there were 16 Alice Louise Reynolds Clubs formed from coast to coast in her honor," said Dean Larsen, associate university librarian for BYU.
Keller, who was once a Presbyterian pastor and is fluent in seven languages, now promotes interfaith understanding at BYU.
