Next Month (can you believe it . . . We're talking April!!) our Recipe Exchange is calling for recipes using COCONUT.

This is the perfect time for you still-tanned travelers who visited Hawaii this winter or the Caribbean or even the coconut shelf at Smith's, to send us your recipes using coconut.Drinks, cakes, pies, candy, main dishes, whatever. Send in the recipes. If we select your entry, you'll be able to add $10 to your coconut-growing vacation destination fund.

The rules:

1. Submit one recipe per sheet of paper (however, all recipes can be mailed in one envelope). Include your name, address, phone number, approximate cost and number of servings. Mail entries to:

2. No more than three recipes from any one person or household.

3. Recipes must be postmarked no later than Friday, March 17, 1995.

4. If identical recipes are received, the one with the earliest postmark will be used.

5. Recipes will be tested and chosen for publication in the Deseret News Food Extra the first Tuesday in April (April 4th).

And remember folks, this is your big chance to have your name spread out on the bottom of hundreds of Utah bird cages!
