Alvin D. Parsons, 82, died March 6, 1995 in Price.
He was born December 16, 1912 in Torrey, Utah, the son of George Edward and Celia Isabell Heath Parsons. Married Wanda Wilson; later divorced. Married Hazel Crumpton; she died January 27, 1990. Member of the LDS Church. Attended schools in Wayne and Sevier Counties. Served U.S. Army Air Force during World War II. Resident of East Carbon since 1948. Former employee U.S. Steel at Horse Canyon Coal Mine. Retired member U.M.W.A.Survived by two daughters and spouses, Judy and Roy Lee, Escanba, Michigan; Tonya and Gary Higham, Salt Lake City; three brothers and three sisters, Dale Parsons, Richfield; Waldo Parsons, Salina; Leander Parsons, Ferron; Mary Arthema Cornia, Layton; Hazel Nay, Grand Junction, Colo.; Elaine Leckness, Salt Lake City; three step-sons and three stepdaughters, Earl Clark, East Carbon; Willard Clark, East Carbon; Irene Pritchett, East Carbon; Frank Jr. Clark Modes, Price; Melba Benson, Kearns; Faye Mager, Cleveland. Also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral service Thursday, March 9, 1995, 12 noon, Mitchell Chapel. Family will be at Mitchell's Wednesday evening 6-8 p.m. and Thursday one hour prior to services. Friends may call Mitchell's 9 a.m.-9 p.m. daily. Interment, Price City Cemetery.
