Ada Sarah Michaelsen Stenland, our beloved "Babu", mother, grandmother, sister, special aunt and friend, died March 3, 1995 at Delta.
Born December 18, 1904 Mayfield, Utah to John Henry and Ella Elizabeth Michaelsen. Married Jack Stenland 1927. He died 1958. Attended Sanpete County schools. Graduated high school in Ephraim. After marriage resided in West Hollywood, Calif.When Jack died she remained, and owned and managed an apartment complex. Confidant as friend and "Mom" to many young people who rented. Moved to Delta 1973.
Survived by son: Gary and Addie Stenland, Van Nuys, Calif.; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters: Myles and Ruthe Michaelsen, Winnemucca, Nev.; Earl and Mable Michaelsen, Mayfield; LaRue and Vertis Nielson, Ephraim; Virginia and Roy Young, Milford; Norma and Thorpe Waddingham, Delta. Preceded in death by sisters: Alta, Geneva, Aleda; brother: Lee.
Funeral services Thursday, March 9, 1995, 1 p.m. at Mayfield LDS Chapel. Friends call at church on Thursday 12-12:45 p.m. Burial, Mayfield City Cemetery under direction of Nickle Mortuary.
