Donna Virtue Sessions, age 73, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away March 6, 1995 of cancer.
Born on December 14, 1921 in Salt Lake City, daughter of Wesley Orlando Sessions and Erma Wetzel. Graduate of East High, attended Stevens-Henager Business College and the University of Utah. Married Keith W. Baker in 1943; later divorced. Member of the LDS Church. Helped form the Cub Scout Program in the Wasatch Ward, being the first den mother. Librarian for nine years in the Monument Park 6th Ward.Worked at Auerbach's in advertising two years. Retired from the Newspaper Agency Corp. after 33 years in Classified and Promotional Advertising. Copywriter for restaurant ad "Your Host", coordinated church ads for all denominations, created "NAC Talk" newspaper for NAC employees. Past secretary-treasurer for International Assoc. of Business Communicators/Intermountain Chapter. Played professional women's baseball and loved horseback riding when she was younger. Above all, Donna was known as a dedicated and loving mother and friend to many.
Survived by daughter, Donna Sue (Stephen P.) Smith, son, Kent Whitney (Barbara H.) Baker, eight grandchildren, one great-grandchild, nieces and nephews, many cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 10, 1995 at 12 noon at the Wasatch Lawn Mortuary Chapel, 3401 South Highland Drive. Friends may call Thursday from 6:30-8:30 p.m. and Friday from 10:45-11:45 a.m. prior to services.
Interment, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
