From Dr. William M. Green:
Dear family and friends, I have begun a new journey today, a journey that all of us will eventually have to embark upon. I had been blessed with good health for most of my life, for which I was grateful, but for the last several months, the quality of my life was in a steady decline. I am happy now to begin my next journey.Like many other people I had many hobbies I enjoyed: The golf games, the fishing trips, the time spent at Flaming Gorge, all of these times have special and fond memories for me.
I cannot help but feel that the true measure of a person's life is his relationship with the people he comes in contact with. Over the past several months, the outpouring of concern and love from family and friends (I consider my patients as friends) has been overwhelming.
The physical and emotional drain was tremendous, which made it impossible for me to respond to each and every person; please forgive me. If the caring and love which has been shown to me is any indication of a man's life, mine was not wasted.
I would like to give a very special thank-you to my wife Maggie. Her rock solid support and love was a major help to my physical and mental well-being during these times. Thank you, Honey.
I'd also like to thank Dr. Lynn Wilcox for the continuous compassion and strength he has given us.
Survived by wife, Maggie Clayton Green; daughters, Michelle Morgan and Melissa Stephen; three grandchildren; parents, Dr. and Mrs. Ray E. Green; sisters, Mrs. Alan Robinson and Mrs. James Honey; seven nieces and two nephews.
I'm ready now, it's time for me to say goodbye.
