The schedule of Southern Utah University spring quarter evening school classes is now available.

"Spring quarter classes don't begin until March 22, but because of the range of courses we will be teaching, prospective students might want to check out our schedule of offerings early," C. David Nyman, assistant dean of continuing education and evening school administrator, said.Evening school schedules are available at the Division of Continuing Education offices in the R. Haze Hunter Conference Center and at either the registrar's office or the admissions office in the university's Administration Building.

The schedule includes extended day classes; "outreach" courses taught at St. George and Richfield; classes taught via television at locations in Cedar City, St. George, Delta, Richfield, Ephraim and Roosevelt; and concurrent enrollment classes delivered through interactive television to a number of high schools in southern Utah.

Also offered during spring quarter through SUU's evening school are a self-paced, open-entry industry machine shop training course, independent study and video courses, and classes designed to fill requirements for the cooperative SUU-Utah State University master's degree in education.

"We have a wide range of self-support and non-credit classes which should be of interest to a number of people," Nyman said. "These are often classes for which university credit really isn't the goal; rather, they are courses of an enrichment or special interest type. And there is a great choice for spring quarter."
