Ulmer Ferdinand Turner, 89, died March 7, 1995 at his home in Salt Lake City.
Born April 17, 1905 in Lyman, Wayne County, Utah to Benjamin Godfrey and Anna White Turner. Married Fern Poulson December 7, 1925 in Ogden, Utah; later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Worked for the Union Pacific Railroad as an engineer for 30 years.Survived by his wife, Fern; children, Vernon (Diane) Turner, Jean Turner, Shirley (Bruce) Judson, Annette Turner, Aloha (Walter) Kuefner; 21 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Rolldo (Mary) Turner, Hilma Glad, Gepkie (Keith) Woolsey; sisters-in-law, Elva, Arda and Norma Turner. Preceded in death by grandson, Gary Webster, great-grandson, Kitione Touhuni, Jr., and brothers, John, Sherman, Clayton.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 11, 1995, 2 p.m. Riverside Ward, 1100 West 500 North. Friends may call Friday, 6-8 p.m., Deseret Mortuary, 36 East 700 South, and Saturday, one hour prior to services at the church. Interment, Redwood Memorial Estates.
