Our beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather, and brother, John Armstrong "Jack" Derbidge, 84, passed away March 28, 1995 at home after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born July 9, 1910 in Ogden, Utah to Lawrence R. and Ruth Hannah Armstrong Derbidge. Married Ida May Jones on June 2, 1928, later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple.Survived by six sons and two daughters: John V. (Nancy), Lawrence D. (Linda), Donald D. (LaRae), Val R. (Dorlene), Robert J., Ross F. (Karen), Margaret J. "Peggy", Ruth D. "Dixie" (Willard) Slater; three sisters: Mrs. Orvin (Margaret) Metler, Mrs. Harold (Ruth) Robison, Mrs. Glenn (Beverly) Gregory; four brothers: Joseph L., William R., Spencer G., Thomas J.; 50 grandchildren, 98 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his wife; and infant daughter, Carol May; one sister, Olive; two brothers, Clifford and Ross; and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Monday, April 3, 1995 at 12 noon in the Little Cottonwood 20th Ward Chapel, 6350 South Rodeo Lane (1545 East) in Holladay. Friends may call Sunday, April 2, 6-8 p.m. at the Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary, 10600 South 1700 East in Sandy and Monday at the Ward, 10:45-11:45 a.m. Interment, Larkin Sunset Gardens.
