MOMMY - NOT A NANNY - KEPT DRESCHER IN STITCHES

As a kid, Fran Drescher didn't need a nanny like the one she plays on TV to keep her in stitches. She had her mom.

The star of the CBS comedy "The Nanny" remembers riding down a street in her native Queens, N.Y., one day when she asked, `Mom, is there going to be a Main Street in heaven?'"And my mother would say, `Fran, I don't know. Am I dead?' " Drescher quips in an interview in the April 15th issue of TV Guide.
