Shake 'n Bake's newest offering transforms the lowly potato into a tasty oven-baked meal. The 2.9-ounce package of "Perfect Potatoes" seasoning mix retails for $1.33 and comes in herb & garlic, crispy Cheddar or sour cream & chives flavors.

Don Russell (married, five children at home, ages 6-16): "This new version of `shake and bake' potatoes just didn't please nor excite us. Plus, even though Kraft General Foods gives you adequate warning that you need to use plenty of oil, our potatoes still stuck to the pan despite our using the suggested amount of two ounces of oil. Consumers interested in trying this product and saving a little bit can take advantage of the Perfect Potatoes coupons that ran in the Sunday Deseret News a couple of weeks ago."Edyth Jensen (married, three children at home): "The sour cream and onion flavor is quite strong, but after the potatoes are baked they do taste pretty good. We will probably use these and other flavors again."

Nihla Lake (married, two children at home): "We liked this `spud-coat' much better than the Brand X we tried earlier. The herb and garlic flavoring spiced the spuds just right. Two thumbs up for this product."

Rich Firmage (married, three children, oldest 10 years old): "These were good. Most of us liked them. My oldest son thought they were great and really ate a lot. We had the sour cream and chive flavor. They had quite a garlic taste but not too strong. We will have these on hand for an easy addition to most any dinner."

Bill Allred (single): (Bill's kitchen is in the midst of being remodeled so he wasn't able to test this product.)

Conclusion: Try this new Shake 'n Bake if you like spiced up spuds!
