DEATH: WAYNE EDWARD WYLER

Wayne Edward Wyler died Friday, April 7, 1995 in Sacramento, California at age 68.

Married to Wanda Ricks Wyler for 45 years, he was the father of six and grandfather of 29. A High Priest in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he gave many years of volunteer service to the church and its members.Professionally, he was an accounting professor (Ph.D.) who retired from California State University, Sacramento in 1992.

Born May 7, 1926 in Payson, Utah, he was the son of George and Mary Hanks Wyler. He served in the U.S. Army from 1944 to 1946, including a tour of duty in Japan and on the staff of General McArthur. A 1950 graduate of Brigham Young University, he earned his Ph.D. from University of Northern Colorado in Greeley in 1974.

Survived by his wife, Wanda; four sons and two daughters and their spouses: Kenneth and LeNora Wyler of Idaho Falls, Idaho; Dale and Marjorie Wyler of Sandy; Grant and Janine Wyler of Sacramento, Calif.; Karen Wyler Lacey and Mark Lacy of Logan; Carolyn Wyler and Kenneth Welton of Davis, Calif.; and Richard and Marie Wyler of Glendale, Calif. Also survived by 28 grandchildren; one sister, Elaine Hone of Benjamin, Utah; and one brother, Glenn Wyler of St. George.

Memorial services in Sacramento. Friends welcome at Berg Mortuary, 185 East Center Street, Provo, on Thursday, April 13, 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. Interment, East Lawn Memorial Hills in Edgemont, Utah at 2:30 p.m.
