Our most beloved husband, father and grandfather returned to his Heavenly Father on April 9, 1995.

Gerald D. Tucker was born on October 24, 1928 to Vance and Edna Tucker. He was sealed to Dorothy C. Brown and all their children on Feb. 16, 1962 in the Salt Lake Temple. She returned home in 1986. He then married Lois Owen in the Salt Lake Temple on Feb. 12, 1987. Their marriage was a beautiful example of shared love and interests.Jerry was always available to anyone who needed his help, even at 3 o'clock in the morning. He held many different positions in the church, growing greatly as he served. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Lois Owen Tucker; his children: John Terrance, Sherry T. Averett, Phyllis T. Turner, Randy, Noni Chettle, Virgil, James and Verna; 17 grandchildren and several children who called him "Grandpa Great"; four brothers; three sisters; and his beloved father, Vance. He was preceded in death by his mother and two brothers.

Funeral services Thursday, April 13, 12 Noon, Emerson LDS Ward Chapel, 1700 South 1100 East. Friends may call at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State, Wednesday 6-8 p.m. and on Thursday at the ward 10:45-11:45 a.m. Interment, Cleveland Cemetery, Cleveland, Utah.

Jerry was a long-standing member of the Crimson Club of the University of Utah Athletic Dept. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to the University athletic department or Crimson Club in his name.
