April is here, and we'll soon have the annual "Take Our Daughters to Work" day. Mothers all over the country will show off the positive aspects of their jobs and demonstrate once again that a woman can do anything she wants to do.

How great it would be if mothers all over America would balance this with a follow-up day (perhaps the next Saturday) showing the positive aspects, necessities and rewards of taking care of a home and family. The occupation of homemaker and mother seems to have been forgotten as we try to point girls toward possible future careers.I recognize that in today's world most women, especially the younger ones, must work. But their most important, and hardest, work will be at home with their own families. Let's not let preparation and anticipation for that great work be overshadowed by devotion to the commercial workplace.
