FIRM HIRED TO AID PROCESS OF REBUILDING OQUIRRH

The Salt Lake firm Valentiner, Crane, Brunjes, Onyon Architects has been hired by Jordan School District to supervise the demolition and cleanup and provide the design for the reconstruction of Oquirrh Elementary School in West Jordan.

Fire destroyed the school March 4.Superintendent Ray Whittenburg said the south end of the building, which was not damaged by fire, can be salvaged. However, the area must be gutted to meet life/safety codes.

The new building is expected to be ready for occupancy midway through the 1995-96 school year.
