DEATH: JANET LARSEN

A wonderful daughter, sister and friend returned to the loving arms of her Father in Heaven on April 8, 1995, as a result of accidental carbon monoxide poisoning while camping in the mountains she loved, the Colorado Rockies.

Janet Larsen was born September 16, 1961 to loving parents, Arland L. and VeNae Burgon Larsen. As a graduate of Skyline High School in 1980, Janet attended Brigham Young University and later graduated from the University of Utah in 1984. She was a dedicated financial assistant at Merrill Lynch for 10 years working in Salt Lake City, San Francisco, and Denver.Janet was very caring and giving wherever she perceived a need. She was an avid runner and enjoyed the Saturday morning jogs with her father at Sugar House Park. Active in community service her whole life, she served as a mentor for children from dysfunctional families in San Francisco and Denver. Her integrity and compassion were envied by all. She had a great love for her favorite kids, niece, Kristin Jessup, nephews, Mark Jessup, Steven Jessup, and Richard Larsen.

Survived by sisters, Carol Larsen Jessup, Leslie Larsen Grass, and brother, Richard E. Larsen; sister-in-law, Michelle Breinholt Larsen and brothers-in-law, Ronald Jessup, Michael Grass; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Preceded in death by grandparents, Carl E. and Mary I. Larsen and Harold A. and Phyllis Barker Burgon.

Funeral services will be held Friday, April 14, 1995 at 11 a.m. at the Mount Olympus 2nd Ward, 3862 East (4275 So.) Oakview Drive, Holladay. Friends may call Thursday, 6-8 p.m. at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 So. Highland Drive, and one hour prior to services at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation be made to the LDS Hospital, Deseret Foundation.
