DEATH: WALTER F. STAFF

Walter Fredrick Staff, age 78, died April 7, 1995.

Born January 20, 1917, in Magna, Utah, to John Fredrick and Christine Helen Sanders Staff. He married Wanda Sheldon on Sept. 19, 1947, in Salt Lake City, Utah; later divorced.Veteran of World War II, U.S. Navy, U.S.S. Oklahoma. He was a survivor of the Pearl Harbor attack. He was very active in the Utah Chapter of the Pearl Harbor Survivors Association.

He was a carpenter with the V.A. Hospital. He enjoyed making and flying radio-controlled airplanes, bicycling and scuba diving. He was a charter member of the Ute R.C. Model Club. He resided in St. George during the winter months.

Survived by three children, Sandra Staff-Koetter (Kurt), Rathdrum, Idaho; Nancy S. Barney, Spokane, Wash.; Fred K. Staff, Salt Lake City; two grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, April 15, 1995, at the Utah Veterans Memorial Park, 17111 South Camp Williams Road (1700 West). Friends may call at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 South Highland Drive, on Saturday from 10:15-11:15 a.m.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to the Multiple Sclerosis Society-Utah, 525 So. 300 West, SLC, UT 84101
