'TIS THE SEASON FOR SENDING GREETING CARDS

For the greeting card business, the months of April, May and June are among the busiest times of the year.

Easter this year falls on Sunday, April 16, following the first full moon after the vernal equinox.Among the millions of Easter cards going through the mails, the most popular colors are predicted to be white, yellow, purple and green.

May 14, Mother's Day, is one of the year's largest card-sending occasions, but only about one-half go to mothers. The rest will go to stepmothers, grandmothers, aunts and "my other mother." Some will include new "calling cards" for free 10-minute phone calls.

Dad is remembered on June 18, when Father's Day cards by the millions are sent. In addition to fathers and grandfathers, other recipients are expectant fathers, stepfathers and great-grand-fathers.
