The Utah Jazz, its booster club and Utahns Against Hunger are teaming up to fight hunger for the 12th year.
When the Jazz play the Clippers tonight, fans are asked to bring nonperishable food items to the game at the Delta Center. The donated food will go to the Utah Food Bank, which provides food to more than 60 food pantries and prepared meal sites throughout the state.Last year the event brought in two tons of food and more than $600 in cash donations.
Items need to be commercially packaged, nonperishable foods such as canned meat, tuna, peanut butter, jelly, pasta, tomato sauce, cereal and dry legumes. They also need baby food, infant formula, diapers and other toiletries.
