DEATH: A. KENNETH RIDD

A. Kenneth Ridd, 46, beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend was called home to his Father in Heaven on April 11, 1995. Ken fought a long valiant battle and never lost his sense of humor or positive attitude.

He was born March 5, 1949 in Salt Lake City to Arthur C. and Mildred E. Wagner Ridd. On August 22, 1974 he married Debra Syversen in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Ken was a graduate of the University of Utah and the Pacific Coast Banking School at the University of Washington. He worked for the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco for over 20 years. He had served in several positions in the Salt Lake City branch and was Vice-President in charge of the Portland branch at the time of his death. Ken was a member of the Board of Governors of the American Institute of Banking. He was a member of the Cooper Mtn. Ward of the LDS Church, and had served in many positions in the church including a mission to Southern Germany.Survivors include his wife, Debra Ridd, Beaverton; four sons, Ryan, Jeremy, Zachary and Cody Ridd, all of Beaverton, Oregon; his mother, Mildred Ridd, Salt Lake City; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Pam and Rich Lee, Salt Lake City; Marilyn and Dick Despain, Sandy, Utah; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A viewing was held in Hillsboro, Oregon on Thursday, April 13, 1995. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 18, 1995 at 12 noon, in the Willow Creek 5th LDS Ward Chapel, 2400 East Alta Canyon Drive (8600 South). Friends may call at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 South Highland Drive on Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. and at the church on Tuesday from 10:45-11:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.T 4/16 N 4/16
